Oh gosh its been really hot. Like indiana in auguast hot. A bunch of us went to the clakamas river today and it was fanfuckingtastic! Body surfing through some rapids and such. I didn't actually body surf--i had cheapo walgreens rafts and avoided getting beat up by the rocks and undertow. Apparently john had a slight scare there for a bit. Overall really good times. Oregon is beautiful.

Looks like blogger has a mobile interface. I think this is cool because I'm posting from my blackberry. Boy do I love this phone! It makes my life much easier when I'm on a set or a jobsite.

The garden is looking fabulous. I've experimented with a couple things this year which I'll go into later.

Just curious if I could post from my phone.

The movie is wrapped and was an invaluable experience for me. Something I'd like to describe in more detail another time, but who knows if that will actually happen. In short, it was a good career move.

Phil and Noriko will be here very soon!!!! My garden looks great, even thought the weeds are overwhelming. I have so much work that it is also overwhelming. I'm going to see The Kills tomorrow night!!!!! Yes! They are awesome! Its a beautiful May--hot and sunny--I love Portland.

Life is unpredictable.

I'm very saddened to hear of the passing of LonPaul Erllich and my heart goes out to his friends and family.

Talk soon.

View of in-progress set. It's supposed to look low-rent and campy.

lordy. I'm sitting in the emergency room waiting for my friend to be done with a horrible migraine. She called me for help after she passed out in the shower and woke up choking on water. Poor thing. apparently she's out cold and I'm just sitting here waiting to take her home. I'm tired. It stinks in here and there was a man vomiting in a bag across the room. I moved to a seat by the door so I wouldn't have to see and hear it. ick.

working on this film is a great experience, but doing a film full time and working my regular job--(barely at this point)--is too much and I can't do this again. I think I might be losing years at this point. On the bright side, I have learned a ton on this project and made some connections that are more valuble than I think I even know. Hopefully I'll get work on bigger movies this summer and do less faux finishing. My days have been starting around 6 or 7 this week and ending at about 11 with a few "mental health" breaks like dinner and a beer and then coffee. I was headed to my studio when my friend called tonight, so I guess I'll have to work late tomorrow night. Before I go into work on the set in the morning, I will go to Maison's shop where I'm painting a cabinet and hopefully finish it. I know it will be worth it when I get paid for all this shit, but, maybe I'm a wimp or spoiled or something, I DON'T LIKE JUGGLING WORK LIKE THIS!

John has a new creation--if you want to call it that..sizzle's way. Beware of offensive language if you are slacking and watching this at work!

I just got a job art directing a feature! I'm getting paid finally! and I'm getting connections! And the film scene here is booming! and it's awesome!

I'm growing kombucha. I don't know what to think of it, but I have to grow it for the movie (it's a prop), and i like drinking it, but I want to do more research. weird.
